Spidey in a Spot of Trouble

Issue #589, is a standalone comic arch featuring a classic Spiderman Villain who if you haven't guessed from the cover art is called the Spot. A Russian crime lord named Dmitri Ivankov has been receiving strange ominous notes that contain nothing but a black spot(The spots calling card for marked victims)
Ivankov exercises his ability to become Corporate Socially involved by attempting to donate money to Aunt May's F.E.A.S.T. organization, but May sensing his anterior motives refuses to take his blood money
Dmitri Then retreats to a tanker and naturally spider-man tails the dirty guy its not long after that the Spot tries to crash the party and an ensuing battle between him and the we-head ensues.
More insight is also given into the spots lengthy absence from all that is Marvel
It's not an absolutely classic but a very well constructed stand alone story arch with wonderful artwork almost remeniscent of Todd MacFarlane
