Splatter Screen By Gayle Parks on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am far from the world's greatest cook so when I find a product that helps me in any way I like to share it with others. I had seen these screens a number of times in mail order catalogs and at my local grocery store so one day I bought one just to see if it really worked. The first thing I tried it with was bacon. I fry bacon for my husband every Sunday morning and it always makes the biggest mess with grease popping out of the pan on to the stove and on me. Hot bacon grease hurts too. I placed the screen over the pan, just like the instructions showed, and you know what? It worked. I managed to fry all the bacon without a single pop of grease hitting me on the arm or hand. So, I tried it when I made homemade French Fries and it worked well with that too. Granted, there was still a little splatter to clean up...I am not sure anything courld prevent every single drop of grease popping...but it was certainly worth the inexpensive price I paid for it. And it is certainly worth recommended to others. Try Carol Wright mail order or look for it at your grocery store.
