I was tired of having a messy stovetop and using saucers for my spoon rest. I wanted a spoon rest that would be effective, attractive and easy to clean. I did not want one decorated with roosters, chili peppers or grape vines. Those seem to be very popular designs in kitchen accessories.

I was browsing through a catalog for The Pampered Chef and I noticed their spoon rest. It was listed at $10.00. I purchased it because I thought that it would not be much to lose if I did not like the spoon rest. I was in for a nice surprise!

The Pampered Chef Spoon Rest comes in three parts. The stand is made of two separate parts (the base and the upright piece). They are chrome-plated steel. The piece that the spoon rests on is white stoneware. All three pieces are dishwasher-safe. That is very important to me.

It is not at all uncommon for me to recieve compliments on the spoon rest. If I take a dish to work (say, for a potluck), I always take the spoon rest with me. It travels well since it comes apart and takes about two seconds to re-assemble. It never fails-- I always get aked where I purchased it from. I can definitely recommend The Pampered Chef Spoon Rest!
