By Karen onI recently developed pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulder area because of some heavy lifting I had to do.I needed a pain relieving cream, and I wanted something with no unpleasant odor.I found Sports Creme by Chattem at Walmart.I first asked the pharmacist on duty what would be good, and he advised me to try it.I really do like this cream.It is very effective for relieving my muscle achiness, and best of all, it actually has a very pleasant odor.Sports Creme contains 10% of trolamine salicylate, which is a topical analgesic, and I have gotten relief from my achiness and soreness by using this cream.I have the 4 oz size in a flip top tube.This cream is easy to apply, is stain free and greaseless.I definitely recommend it for anyone who has muscle aches and pains and would like a pleasant smelling rub to bring relief.
I just tried this for the first time. I'm a kickboxer and sometimes after a hard workout I feel almost crippled by muscle pain (although this doesn't happen often) ... it happened to me today, and I was waddling all day with pain so I felt it necessary to break down and buy this stuff. The pain relief was fast-acting and although not a miracle cream, it did help with the discomfort pretty well. I'd also like to point this out about the smell: It doesn't smell bad, but the smell is fairly "manly"smelling. Like old spice deodorant or something. I mention it because I'm a woman and I thought women might like to know. It's only really noticeable if you smell an area up close though, not from a distance, so that's nice.
