Sports Illustrated By tribefan on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you're a sports fan, Sports Illustrated (SI) is the sports magazine to get. The best part is that it's published weekly, so you'll get another one soon after you finish reading the current issue. Of course, it needs to published this often because so much can change in sports in one week.

The length is great: each issue is around 100 pages long. Pretty good since it's published so often. The colors and paper are high quality, which I would expect from a magazine as popular as Sports Illustrated. I always enjoy the beautiful full page action photos that are in the first few pages of the magazine. They're beautiful.

My favorite articles are player interviews, and the player and culture columns, where they ask players questions about their favorite gadgets or meals. The hot or not feature is pretty interesting too. They focus most of their coverage on the big 3 sports: baseball, football, and basketball. They do a good job of mixing in some hockey, boxing, volleyball, and NASCAR, so everyone should be covered.

For sports fans, SI is an easy recommendation. I always look forward to the new issue that arrives every week. It gives great insight into the world of sports, and will definitely give you and your friends something to talk about.
