Spot Bot, Removes Most Spots Not All. By tldann on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I have 2 young children one is 5 and the other is just one. So we have a lot of spills and stains on our carpet. And out carpet is beige (bad idea).
We were planning a SuperBowl party and were embarrassed by our carpet. So we saw an advertisement for the SpotBot. Place it on the stain and it does the rest, it said. So we bought it.
It worked relatively well. It did not remove all stains but in all fairness some of the stains were well set in. But it did remove BBQ sauce, spaghetti sauce, chocolate milk, and others. It didn't pick up spilled Tylenol, grape sode, or some of the other stains that we aren't even sure what were.
But all in all it did what it said it would. Put it on the stain, push a button, walk away and when you come back the stain is gone.
I don't regret buying it and would do so again. Just don't expect a miracle, if the stain is more than a little set in it more than likely will never come up.
Bissell SpotBot Purchased at: Ollies Price: $99

I have a light caramel carpet in my home, it marks and stains easily. I have tried several products, some have been adequate, other's poor. I think, I'll give this a try. Thanks for the information.
hmmm usually Bissells are better than this.
Sounds like this is good for fresh stains rather than making old carpet look new again. But with youngsters fresh stains are an everyday thing so sounds like this could be useful.
It does sound great---I had my carpets cleaned and some spots still remain. I don't think there is a miracle cure but this sounds like it works as well as it should for under a hundred bucks!
I just put new carpet in. Maybe I should get one of these to pick up stains quickly! Thanks
This sounds so handy to have around the house & is probably more effective with stains that are newer. Still when you treat the older stains, I'm sure of the stain will pick up!
I know grape soda is super hard to get out once it sets in. I bet this was still worth it! I would think this would be a help for the new parents. Kids never keep their food or drinks on the table!
