This Squirrel Be Gone Bird Feeder is squirrel proof! If you love to feed and watch the birds in your yard during the winter, but the squirrels eat all the seed without giving the birds a chance, this may be your solution. I personally have bought so many so called squirrel proof feeders in the past that haven't worked, but this seems to do the trick! This feeder works on a sping. When a squirrel jumps on the feeder, the weight of the squirrel closes the shute, so the squirrel can't get to the seed. When a bird sits on the feeder, their weight is not great enough to close the shute, so they are able to feed. In addition, even if the squirrel knocks over the feeder, the top will not come off. A little seed may spill out of the shute, but not a lot. I have yet to see a squirrel be able to get to the seed in this feeder, which is just wonderful! I love watching the birds, but hate the squirrels. This is a wonderful bird feeder for that purpose.
