Stainless Steel Insulated Thermos

We purchased this Thermos Funtainer for my daughter to take to school 3 years ago and we have been so impressed. We have since bought 2 more! It is made by Thermos and is much heavier than the other stainless steel water bottles on the market. It is well insulated and keeps drinks cold for a really long time. It has kept ice water ice cold for more than 24 hours in the heat of the summer! The ice cubes did not melt and the container did not sweat!
PROS:
Well insulated
Stainless steel - no BPA to worry about
Easy to clean
Many colours to choose from
Very durable
They do not sweat - a big plus for me
Flip top with straw, easy for younger children
These do not leak
CONS:
Cost, they are expensive at almost $20 each
The plastic at the bottom has chipped on all 3 of ours
Not dishwasher safe. If you do put it in the dishwasher, you may loose the seal which will mean your funtainer is no longer watertight.
VERDICT:
A great reusable container for kids. It comes in many fun designs and colours. The flip top with lid is super easy for the kids to drink from and they even come with extra straws! (I have only needed to replace 1.) 3 years of daily use and our funtainer is still going strong!
I think, we should always go for expensive and good quality plastics, especially, when kids are around. This one sounds really good!
These are becoming the water container of choice now. We've seen all styles of these in every store and they say they're safer than drinking from the plastic water bottles we buy in the store. We will most likely be getting some too. Thanks for the review.
