The Stamina Products 1400 ATS Air Rower in my opinion is a poorly made rower. Now for $330.00 I'm not expecting the highest of quality, but it started to fall apart after 3 months of use. This machine does not have a very effective air resistance device either. I had to row at 40 strokes per minute for 45 minutes to get a "decent" cardio workout because there is no way to increase the resistance. Within 2 months the machine began to squeak loudly (WD-40 did not fix the squeaks) and the frame started to become loose. By the 3rd month I finally trashed it because the squeaking became unbearable (it was so loud that I could hear it over my iPod at full volume) and even with tightening the bolts, the frame still wobbled constantly.
I would not recommend this machine to anyone who is going to use this 3+ times a week and more than 30 minutes each workout session. If you plan on using it for only 2-3 times a week for 10 minutes at a time, I believe it would last 6-10 months.

The squeaking would interfere with the workout because it would distract you from your concentration. This does not sound like a product one should waster their money one......Thanks for the information
Well, this gives one things to think about when purchasing this kind of machine. Sounds pretty awful.

I'd have taken this right back to Sears and demanded a refund. Sorry it didn't work out for you, thanks for the product warning.
Air-resistance rowers can get loud with time, that seems to be a common problem with them. It ends up feeling nothing close to rowing, unfortunately. :(

So sorry to hear that this product was so quickly defective. I think Sears should have done something to make things right for you.
