This is a spray-on styling product for hair. The bottle must be shaken before using to distribute the oils thru out the bottle. You use this product to achieve those waves in your hair that you would get if spending the whole day at the beach. To give you some background, I have below the shoulder length hair. It's color-treated and neither straight nor curly. It is frizzy. I spray this on my hair after shampoo and conditioning. I used this all thru the summer months to control frizzies. I loved this product have gove thru at least 4 bottles of it. It actually helped 'shape' my curls, held them in place with stickiness or stiffness and kept the frizzies at bay. It states on the bottle that is for brunette colored hair, but anyone can use it. The scent isn't all that bad either.
