Steam Vac Central By April on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have two kids, a husband and a dog. You can imagine the beating my carpet takes. From spilled juice to paw tracks, my carpet always looks dingy. After having a professional steam cleaning, I figured that for the same price I could purchase my own SteamVac and clean the carpets myself, at my convenience.

I am surprised at how well it first worked, my carpet looked like a professional had been in once again. However, the cleanser quickly wore off and showed all that ugly dirt again. Out came the SteamVac once more. The second time around it did not get as much dirt up, but seemed to do decently well. The SteamVac is easy to use, it has a big well to put in hot water and cleanser, you just hold the button on the handle as you push and it dispenses cleaner. The one attachment I did not care for was the brush, the dog hair got caught in it quite easily and I had to keep pulling it out. I try to use my SteamVac about once a month, just to spot clean my carpet, which so far has worked well for me. Who said you can't have white carpet with kids and pets?
