Step 2 Castle Toddler To Twin Bed Is A Dream! By a-w-omyn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
We bought this, for my eldest daughter, around 4 years ago, and both of my children are still using it today!
It's made of a heavy duty plastic, with no sharp edges or exposed wood that may create owwies, or splinters. It's in the shape of a beautiful castle, with turrets on each side that you can put things on. The foot board has a 'drawbridge' table that you can pull out, and the kid(s) can play/write on/with. There is a night light included, but I warn you, it eats batteries. So, that was a nice little addition, but we use a regular night light and just ignore that feature.
You can use this as a toddler bed, and then (very easily) convert it into a twin bed. We just started with it as a twin bed, but you can do either.
There are also little alcoves in the turrets, that can hold things. My children have elected to have those little nooks house their sippy cups most of the time.
The fact that this bed has survived both of my children, and still looks really great, and has never been the cause of a boo-boo, is enough for me to give this a 5 alone! But, it also has some fantastic features, isn't terribly difficult to set up, and is a wonderful theme for any little princess!
It's main colors are grey and pink, the gray being the castle turrets and footboard, which are also textured to look like they are stone. The center also includes an imitation stained glass "window" (it's a large cardboard 'sticker') with roses, which is fun.
This is one of THE best purchases I've ever made for my daughters!
The new photo I just added, is this bed, after two kids and over four years of use!

This sounds fabulous! I want it for MY bed! LOL!
Our daughter has been asking for a bigger princess type bed. I think this might be good for her rather than just a plain bed.
