Step 2 Stock Car Convertible Bed

This bed is awesome!When it was time for a toddler bed, I stumbled across this online.I really liked the idea of having a toddler bed that converts to fit a twin mattress.When I found it at our local Toys R Us (avoiding shipping charges), I ran the idea by my husband.We decided to save up the money for it, and now I'm not sure who likes it more - my son or my husband!
Here are some of the things we like:
1.The sides are high enough to prevent our kid from falling out.That being said, the one disadvantage is that we have to place small blankets between the sides and the crib mattress to keep things more level.
2.There is a small racetrack at the foot of the bed (when the toddler mattress is installed) - how cool is that?
3.Step 2 products are made in the USA.
4.This is a pretty realistic looking car!The tires are separate pieces that attach to the bed, and a lot of the stickers are authentic.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is a big bed frame, since it can fit a twin mattress.Also, there is not room for a box spring with the twin mattress.
We're really happy with this purchase, and are pretty sure that our son will have it for quite some time!

You've done a good job of describing this bed; I can picture it! And it sounds like a good investment for the long term.
I think most little boys would be happy to go to bed when they had a bed like that.
