This doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some play kitchens have but this one is absolutely adorable and to me simpler is better, no batteries needed! This Step2 oven is well built of heavy duty molded plastic. It is pretty much indestructible, except for the oven door piece. For some reason in most I have seen it was not well made and is either cracked or missing completely. It is a shame because without the window it does not look nice at all.

This is smaller sized for infants and young toddlers, perfect for their first kitchen. It has 2 burners and then a pretend cutting board and 2 knows to turn on/off the stovetop and oven. Inside the oven is one built in shelf thus making a top and bottom area to bake in.

I have given this a 4 in safety, mainly because of the window, that can become dangerous if broken and pieces aren't carefully removed quickly.

This is alot of fun though and I would highly recommend it for anyone with kids who like to cook.
