Stephen King On Writing By SandwichBender on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Stephen King is the undisputed master of horror. As an aspiring writer, I would love nothing more than to get in his head and find out - as scary as it may be - just what makes him tick. On Writing is probably the closest I'll ever get to realizing that dream, but it's a damn good look at what's there. Half memior, half writing advice, this is definitely one of the most motivational books I've ever read. And as much as I love hearing what an author has to say about his craft, I was just as absorbed in his tale of growing up and reading comic books.

If you're either a fan of King's work or, like me, hope to dabble in writing yourself, you'll find a lot of inspiration in what's here. Stephen King's On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft will always have a spot of bookshelf.
