For years, I've been keeping assorted nails, tacks, screws, bolts, nuts and washers, etc. in old prescription bottles and soup cans. And I would spend a long time opening one prescription bottle after another to find a screw or a nail that would work for whatever project I was working on, not knowing from one bottle to the next what was actually in there before I opened it, but knowing that I had something somewhere in my junk drawer collection that would work.

I finally got organized this year with a Sterilite 5 Drawer Mini Organizer that I found at Walmart for $7. The Sterilite 5 Drawer Mini Organizer measures 7"w x 7.5"l x 11"h, and it fits neatly into one of my cupboard shelves. Each drawer measures 2" deep. In the top drawer, I've got all of my exacto blades and utility knife blades along with some drapery rod hooks, then a drawer for nails and tacks, one for screws, one for nuts and bolts, and the bottom drawer contains more miscellaneous stuff that didn't fit with anything else, but I might need it someday. The Sterilite 5 Drawer Mini Organizer is just perfect for anyone who needs to organize their tiny odds and ends.
