Stick Up Sun Shade By tsmommy06 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

When I was registering for baby products for my baby shower, I figured everything in the safety department was just that - safe. Imagine my surprise then when I was getting my car seat professionally installed and the installer informed me that my roller sun shade was a hazard. He recommend I remove it immediately because it can block my vision and cause an accident. More importantly, in the event of an accident it can come undone and become a projectile. The installer recommended getting a plastic sun shade that simply sticks to the window on its own.

I immediately removed the roller shade and went to Babies R Us to find the stick up sun shade. I found a Sun Shade by Safety 1st. It comes with 2 dark plastic sheets. To install in your car, you simply cut it to size and stick onto your window. The only issue I had with installation was getting all the air bubbles out of the product.

I am completely satisified with this product. Not only is it safe and provides sun protection, it allows me to roll up and down the windows - something I could not do with a roller sun shade.
