This is a small rubber mat that you just lay on the car dashboard. Cell phone or other items can be placed on it and they won't slide off.

This mat is a soft rubbery textured pad. It's about 3.5 x 5.5 inches with rounded edges. It can be used on vinyl or plastic surfaces, but not wood, leather or painted items. It has no adhesives. It feels kind of like those squishy, gummy toy balls.

Well, it works! A cell phone placed on it stays right where you put it. I suppose in an accident items would jump around, but it doesn't slide at all. They suggest other items like PDAs mp3players, sunglasses, or credit cards could also be placed on it without sliding.

There is a warning to not obstruct air bag compartments.

I guess I don't know how well it will tolerate the heat of summer, but I'm sure we'll find out in a few months.

Hubby bought this one, but I think I might just go get one for myself. Nothing at all will stay on my dashboard.
