Still In A Dream.. By jihoon on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Being the die hard Metal Gear fan that I am, Snake Eater, the third addition to the Metal Gear Solid series, is a must for the changes in the gameplay as well as the continuation in the story. Although some people complain about the setting switch to the jungle and the lack of radar, I truly didn't mind and actually found it to be a good change from the standard look-at-your-radar-for-the-whole-game style gameplay to actually looking at the things in front of you and hearing the footsteps around you. To make up for the lack of corner to hide behind, the camoflauge system allow you to hide in any type of environment. People say the camoflauge changing system could have been implemented better and on the fly but I was able to look past that and didn't mind opening a menu to change the camo. considering that the story takes place around 50 years before the events of the current two games, the prologue provides insightful backstory that any fan shouldn't miss. If you're new to the Metal Gear Solid series, I suggest you start from the beginning then work your way up to this one, but if you're already a Metal Gear veteran, and haven't purchased this yet, for 20 dollars, you'll be getting your money's worth.
