StingStop insect gel
By Tina Lehman onI hate putting chemicals on my skin- even moreso my children's skin. But, bug bites in the summertime months are inevidable so I went searching for a natural remedy to soothe them.
StingStop is a insect gel that is infused with citronella. The ingredients are all natural (no steroids or antihistamines), so I have to worry less about what I'm exposing my family to.
The gel comes in a tube, and is a little runny but is very easy to apply. It has a pleasant smell, and is not sticky or greasy. After applying just a dab to a mosquito bite or a bee sting, the afflicted area will begin to feel better immediately.I have to say it doesn't work as well as some of the other remedies I've tried (benadryl cream), but it has always been effective enough for my needs.
The label says you can also use it to soothe fever blisters and cold sores.I haven't tried it for this purpose, but certainly think it would work.
Overall, I would recommend StingStop for you and your family's summertime adventures!

Sounds like a great product! Thank you for sharing this information!
A good alternative to those lotions that go on pink and splotchy.
This sounds like something my family needs. I like you hate to put chemicals on my skin or that of my families. We have of late decided to try more non chemical ways to fight different things. I will certainly give this a try.
Thanks for the recommendation, I will surely check this out for my coming outings.
This is something I need. So glad you shared the great find!
This sounds like something I'd get a lot of use out of in mosquito season.
My husband uses this and loves it. He said it works really well. I havent had to use it and I hope I dont have to but since I have a little one now I can imagine I will be using it on him unfortunately.
