Straight Hair At Last By balentine2 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have extremely thick, coarse, curly hair. I feel like I have been fighting it my whole life. I've tried many, many things to try and tame it but nothing really worked to my satisfaction. Then, last year when I went to get a haircut, my stylist wanted to straighten my hair with a flat iron. It turned out great.

Every time I went to get a haircut from then on I would have it straightened. I didn't think I could do it myself but a couple of months ago I decided to give it a try. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a straightener so I looked online at many different models. i finally decided on the Conair 2 in. Tourmaline Ceramic Wet-Dry Straightener.

According to the directions you can use this straightener on wet hair as well as dry. I have tried this but it takes a really long time and I didn't care for the results. I use it on the dry setting and it does an amazing job on my hair. It straightens out the curls and leaves my hair with a smooth and shiny finish. It is wonderful to be able to run my fingers through my hair and not mess it up.

This straightener has 2 settings, for wet hair and dry. It also has 30 different temperature settings so you can set it for just enough heat to straighten you hair. It has a blinking light that stops flashing when it is ready. It also has a swivel cord which really comes in handy when trying to get to hard to reach places like the back of the head.

I can style my hair and it will look good for at least 3 days with minimal touchups. I love this because I have never been able to just run a brush through my hair and go but now I can.

I'm glad I decided to give this straightener a try. It does an excellent job and is very resonably priced.

Now thios Conair product sounds like it really does a great job helping relax coarse curly hair. I like the fact it seems very easy to use and is not heavy in the hand. Coupled with the price, this is a very good buy Balentine.

I fought my hair for years and years but have finally reached the point in my life where it just really doesn't matter anymore but I do wish I would have had such a product when I was in Jr. High School!
