It can be used with a flat iron or a round brush. I prefer the flat iron as it makes my hair frizz-free and shining. Using a round brush also gives a smooth wonderful hair surface. It is also vitamin enriched so it is also protective for the hair. You can buy more expensive straightening gels but for the excellent price and quality of this product save your money and purchase the TRESemme straightening gel.
