In the 1980's strawberry shortcake only appeared in greeting cards. Good thing american greetings decided to branch out and created a whole new world for this amazing character. Strawberry Shortcake may have undergone different phase which includes the changes of how she and her friends look. From a mere rag doll to a highly fashionable one, it is still detrimental that this character touched the heart of its fans.

I have a share of strawberry shortcake dolls collection but one stands out, Blueberry Muffin. My then tier 2 agent gave it to me as a Christmas Gift. I specifically requested that the box would be in mint condition, no price tags, no scratches, no folds and the like.

Since strawberry shortcake rights has been sold to hasbro, playmates strawberry shortcake dolls have been a rare collection. Nowadays, it is very difficult to find this doll by playmates, I would have to scour all the malls and toy stores in Cebu City and I'd be lucky to find one in mint condition. Lucky enough, my agent was very persistent and patient to look where no one looked before.

I have other strawberry shortcake dolls, got two strawberry shortcakes, one seaberry delight, one crepe suzette, and another blueberry muffin. Each dolls have different themes. The hard thing is that, it is difficult to keep them in the box as my daughter loves strawberry shortcake so the dolls end up outside their boxes. Most of the time, she will use her cutest pleading look on me so that I would give in to her whim to open the box and let her play.

But I guess that's okay, dolls are meant to be played with rather than displayed.
