Strawberry Shortcake by Hasbro
By ladychai onStrawberry Shortcake has evolved from a mere greeting card to a rag doll looking character and now a modern looking little girl.
It seems as though this character adapted the generation of kids. This character is the epitome of modernization, generations of artist have developed this little lady to adapt the real world. I guess it is important to adapt once in a while to be in phase with the consumers and old school characters become rare and becomes more expensive.
I only found a few items on sale that pertains to strawberry shortcake and I decided to buy these action figures first since I can dispay them on a cupboard somewhere in my tiny room, which by the way, has been invaded by my daughter's toys. The action figures I like because I can display them but the other toys, not so much as they are choking hazards to kid below 3.Strawberry shortcake should be a general's kind of doll, there shoudn't be any age limit and the new toys aren't as child friendly as they became tinier and tinier.I hope Hasbro would have plans to make bigger strawberry shortcake dolls, not just plush toys but vinyl onos and that the face of strawberry shortcake characters are well represented.
I must say I prefer the previous strawberry shortcake dolls as the dolls are intricately designed unlike Hasbro's creation but nevertheless it is the character that brings joy to kids and kids at heart.

I remember Strawberry Short Cake from when I was little. I had everything from sheets to dolls to lunch pails. Great review!
My youngest sister grew up with Strawberry Shortcake. She has lost a little of her Anime look. But she's still cute and I guess like you said, needs to keep up with the generations.
