Dogs, much like children, grow up so fast. My dog weighs around 75 pounds and is only 1 year old. He is at a hunting stage where he wants to chase any little thing that moves. Yes, it is cute, but not when I am being dragged down stairs or on the ground. I checked with our old trainer to see how I might remedy this problem. Bob suggested I switch to a prong collar. I was hesitant at first because they look inhumaine to me. A girl I work with said to try it on my arm to see how it would feel to my dog. So I tried it out. It didn't hurt me at all, and my trainer said that to a dog it feels like a mothers' nip of correction. I got the prong collart and not a motnh later he hit another growth spurt. Well at our local pet store they had the Titan extra links that you can add to the collar to widen it. It was so easy to do. Just two quick snaps and you've got a bigger collar. The metal is really sturdy too. I won't be dragged around now, and for being such a good doggie he goes to the trails to run free every day:)
