Stridex Maximum Strength Alcohol Free Acne Pads By Jennifer Claerr on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
Stridex Alcohol Free Maximum Strength Acne Pads are what you need if you have very sensitive skin. Compared to Equate Maximum Strength Acne Pads, I found them superior. The Equate Acne Pads contained SD Alcohol 50%, and when I used these pads on my face they caused severe burning and drying. The Stridex Alcohol Free Maximum Strength Acne Pads, by comparison, caused no burning and considerably less drying to my sensitive skin. Although my husband preferred the Equate Acne Pads, and found them more effective, I found that any increased effectiveness of the Equate Acne Pads was not worth the pain and damage to my skin. I also felt that my tweenaged son, who is now beginning to break out, experienced a great deal of chapping and drying to his sensitive skin. I recommend the Stridex Alcohol Free Maximum Strength Acne Pads to any acne-prone person with highly sensitive skin.

My son uses these from time to time. The scent is nice and neutral so he doesn't feel like he's using a "girly" product.
Stridex has been around a long while. I used it when I was a teen and both my kids used it when they were in thier early teens. Good product.
I believe your husband preferred the equate because of the burn he felt like it was working more I used to feel like that but no more I hate the burn I do not have sensitive skin but it's just such an uncomfortable feeling
