Suave Advanced Therapy, Not Worth It By cmgilbert on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have very sensitive skin and usually buy the more expensive lotions. When I was in the store a few weeks ago, I saw that Suave had a lotion that was for severely dry skin called Suave Advanced Therapy. This lotion claims that it "lasts 24 hours" and "fights the cycle of dryness". This, however, was not the case.

I started using the lotion and noticed right away that I was putting lotion on every hour or so just to keep my skin from drying out and feeling like sand paper. After obviously disproving the 24 hour claim, I also noticed that even putting lotion on this often, my skin was not getting any less dry. So it is obviously not "fighting the cycle of dryness" either.

All in all, I would say if you have severely dry or sensitive skin, you are much better off paying the extra money to get Eucerin cream or another similar brand. They may cost more but you get what you pay for.

I have never cared for the Sauve products myself. Sometimes cheap is not always good. :)
