I happen to come down with a terrible cold during the holiday season and Im usually not the kind of person to take medication to overcome such sickness, but I was desperate to feel better because I had a big family dinner coming up and I didn't want to miss it. My friend told me to go out and buy some Sudafed and I would feel better in no time. I went to the pharmacy and picked up the medication with some hesitation, because I didn't think it would actually work. The capsule itself isn't the smallest pill I have ever taken, so if you are someone who has difficulty swallowing large objects I wouldn't recommend this to you. In terms of the effectiveness of the medication I surprisingly felt an immediate relief of my sinuses and headache. Within 20 minutes of taking the medication my runny nose disappeared and my headache dimmed to the point where I could fully function in day to day activities. The medication only last's about 6-8 hours so its not very long lasting but seeing how it almost fully relieved all the symptoms of the cold I would consider it very effective. From now on I know if I come down with a cold that Sudafed is a quick and easy way to eliminate most of the symptoms so I can carry out all sorts of activities.
