Sugar Beach, Bantayan Island

Sugar Beach is among the popular beach resorts in Sta. Fe town in Bantayan Island at the northwestern part of Cebu. Perhaps because it is among the resorts with the most affordable rates and among the resorts that also have one of the finer beachfronts in the island. I was able to check the place while I was with co-workers sometime in May 2006 to have our team building sessions.While their beachfront is among the best in the island of Bantayan, a lot of other things need to be improve. Their rooms are not really of the best quality and their sanitation needs a lot of improvement. Sugar beach also has an area where guests can pitch in their tents for a minimal charge. They also do not have a decent restaurant but one can actually ask the caretaker to cook food for them, or guests can do some grilling on their own. Open air cottages are also aplenty. Lastly, their staff could definitely use some training in handling guests and other skills that can help them better manage the resort.
