Sugar Cane In The Bathroom! By paid2write on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is a no ordinary bathroom tissue, this is an ecologically-friendly product, made from 90% sugar cane and 10% woodpulp. It requires less processing than tissue made from recycled paper. It saves trees, and it saves on the amount of energy used in its manufacturing process.

I'm really impressed by the quality of papura, because I used to buy tissue made from recycled paper, which is often rather scratchy, thin and flimsy. Papura is 3-ply tissue, so it feels plump, firm and strong. I think it is as good as any similar high quality paper product.

Although it contains no bleach or dye, papura is much whiter than most unbleached recycled bathroom tissue. It contains no chlorine or perfume, and is safe to use on sensitive skin.

A pack of four rolls, with 200 sheets per roll, costs no more than any of the big name brands. Papura is made by The Cloudy Bay Cotton Company, which uses no animal testing. It may not be available outside the UK.
