Summer School By Mom2One on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This came out in 1987, and I feel it did not get the credit it truly deserved. Mark Harmon and Kirsty Alley are wonderful together. Bascially Freddy Shoop (Mark Harmon), is forced into the job after the original teacher hits the lottery. Shoop is a gym teacher and he must deal with a classroom full of typical high school misfits teaching English. He has a class of all different kids. Including Chainsaw and Dave would are very into horror films and bring lots of laughs to the classroom.

This movie brings lots of laughs.

I just love, love this movie. I would have to say in my opinion this was the best 80s comedy and I wish it got more attention. This movie is funny and well written. It's not another cheesy 80s teen movie. My favorite characters have to be Chainsaw and Dave, their Siskel and Ebert spiel is hilarous. Mr. Shoop teaching Denise to drive is something to remember. Seriously, I laugh during that scene every time. This movie has me chuckling at some of the things I did back in the 80s when I was in school.

If you have not seen it, I would highly recommend checking it out, especially anyone that went to school in the 1980s. It will bring back a lot of memories. I love all the 80s nostalgia in the movie.

I just wish the DVD had some extra features, like behind the scenes or something like that.
