Sunset Station Hotel And Casino By houdini16409 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
If you are looking for a great casino off of the Las Vegas Strip, Sunset Station Hotel and Casino is definitely the place to go. My husband and I moved out to Las Vegas for about eight months with my husband's work. We didn't like the area and it was really expensive, so we ended up moving home. I visited Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Henderson because it was close and convenient.
Casinos in Las Vegas are a lot different than what I knew of in Minnesota. Sunset Station had a lot of things to do inside for the whole family. For the little children, there is an hourly child care which the kids could have a lot of fun and supervised activities. For the family or large groups there was a 60 lane bowling alley. It was so huge.
Another popular thing at Sunset Station is the 16 screen movie theater. I only went to the movies there once and I found it kind of expensive. But like I said, everything in Las Vegas is not cheap. The casino in Sunset Station was by far the largest gambling floor I have ever saw. They had such a huge variety of slot machines, which was nice for me because I love the slots.
Like all casinos they had a players club. You could get the card for free and they offered a lot of discounts and promotions with the card. You got a dollar off the buffet for four people, cash back, discounts at restaurants, and even better bonuses for Nevada residents. Every Wednesday and Saturday, Nevada card holders could come in for free gift day. Each day they would offer something for free, one per card holder. I got some of the coolest things, like sewing baskets, candy, and lots of stuffed animals.
I highly recommend visiting Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Henderson, Nevada. It was so much fun and you do not have to deal with the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip.
