Sunshade By Chrissy on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I have been thinking about getting something for my windows in my car to block out the sun for my son. I decided on buying the Fisher Price Rainforest sun shades. I was not very happy with them. First of all they fold them up to put them in the box. Therefore, when you take them out the creases are still there which make it a little hard to put on the window. I made sure my windows where clean and dry when I hung them up on the windows. By morning time the one fell off entirely. I other one was starting to fall off. I was pretty disappointed. So I put them back up and decided to try them again. I was driving an hour and the colors never changed. They are clear without the sun and supposed to change when the sun hits it. Well they never changed. Not a good buy for me. I will keep looking for one that works better.

What I found to be the most effective and the safest (most car seat installers will recommend you get rid of almost all stick on sun shades) are the tinted plastic shades that just stick to the window on their own - NOT THE ROLLER KIND.
