Reviewing: Nintendo Wii Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy is the long-awaited "true" sequel to Super Mario 64, which was an absolute smash hit that revolutionized a genre. So, does Super Mario Galaxy do the same? To be honest, not exactly. But is it a fantastic game? Yes, yes, a thousand times - yes!

The game's storyline is probably the weakest aspect, as it's essentially more of the same. The Princess, who has always been completely incapable of protecting herself, has once again been captured. As Mario, it's up to you to chase her across the stars and rescue her.

Obviously, the game's biggest pull is its unique take on platforming and gravity. Some of the levels are small enough spheres that you can run completely around them. And when you jump, you can jump into another planet's orbit and get sucked right down to that planet. It's insanely fun.

Super Mario Galaxy is a great platformer and it's outstanding visual design makes it an absolute must-have for any Nintendo Wii owner.
