Super Smash Brothers: Melee By Yangmun Choi By Yangmun Choi on - Updated Sep 26, 2011
Super Smash Brothers Melee is the second installment of the Super Smash Brothers series, and is for the Nintendo Gamecube Entertainment console. It supports up to four players in simultaneous arcade-style combat, with an innovative twist of having to knock the opposing character off the screen rather than reducing a life bar to zero.
The basic gameplay consists of players trying to damage opponents to increase their percentage, which will make it easier for them to knock the rival off of the screen. There are several advanced techniques that were devised by players (and perhaps bythe creators) such as L-Cancelling and Wave Dashing which can help improve combat choices. The game includes the basic components of a fighter: Blocking, Attacking, Parrying, and Grappling.
The twist and appeal of the game is in the characters. Each character is a character from another Nintendo game, such as Mario, Captain Falcon (F-Zero), Ness (Earthbound), Pikachu (Pokemon), etc.
This game is great fun for the family as it is easy to learn, but difficult to master. Definitely a must-buy for anyone who owns a Gamecube.

Great review! I absolutely LOVE this game. I'm out of high school and I still play this game with all my buds.
