This movie picks up with Superman returning after being gone for 5 years. He didn't really think of the fact that Lois would have moved on without him. She is engaged and has a son. Of course Lex Luther is back as Superman's nemesis. Will Superman be able to save the world from Lex? There are some twists in the plot that are interesting. Kate Bosworth, Branden Routh, Kevin Spacey and Parker Posey star in the movie. The extras on the DVD are your basic movie making of and commentary comments.

I bought this movie because I have two sons who are superhero fanatics. Their only exposure to Superman up to this point had been toys and coloring books. They didn't like the movie. I think it was just too long(156 min.) and there wasn't enough of Superman in his suit doing his thing.

I enjoyed it as someone who watched Superman movies when I was a kid. I think older children will like it. I would recommend this DVD.
