Sweeney Todd- Demon Barber of Fleet Street- OK folks huge warning: This one is GORY. Nevermind that the blood is so fake looking if your squeamish avoid this movie. If you don't like musicals avoid this movie. Its about 95% musical. I closed my eyes when he raised the straight razor though. lol I would have preferred they talked in the movie instead of singing. If I want to see a musical I watch Gene Kelly. :) The story is of a barber (Sweeney) who is thrown in jail by a judge wanting Sweeney's wife. When he gets out of jail its payback time. The movie stars Johnny Depp (nominated for an Oscar for this role), Helen Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman. Tim Burton directed this movie. Rated R and not for the young or the squeamish. Overall I liked this movie. Its not the best movie I have seen but its not the worst.
