Sweet And Healthy By IcePrincess on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As I scout for chocolate to decorate or add on my new cake recipe, I found this Dark Chocolate Raisinets. I usually bake cakes that are not so sweet for health reason and I don't want to gain much weight. At first, I was hesitant to buy it but since it is made of raisins coated with dark chocolate, I thought that this will give a slight twist to usual cake flavor. The packaging also claims that the product is a natural source of antioxidants and is 30% less fat than other chocolate brands so this must be something good for the health. After mixing my usual cake ingredients and poured in baking pan, then I dropped about quarter cup of Dark Chocolate Raisinets. I made sure that raisinets were scattered well in the pan. I bought some of the baked cake in the office for my snack and have them taste it. They were asking what I put in the cake. They like it and for them, the sweetness was just right. No wonder why this product received The ChefBest Award for Best Taste this 2009.

In the 311.8g reseal able pack, I was able to make 4-8" diameter cakes. It should be able to make almost 6 cakes but every time my sister saw it inside the fridge, she would always get some and munch it. I also enjoyed eating it from the pack. Anyway, I'll just make sure that it is always included in the grocery list.
