Sweet Dreams Baby! By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love my Sony Dream Machine, especially if I'm traveling. Since motels all have different clock radios, it's so much easier just to plug in one I'm familiar with, that has the features that I like. This is my second Sony Dream Machine. I finally wore my first one out. Sony is always coming up with new features for the clock radio, and some of them now come with CD players. Mine is one of the older styles, with an AM/FM radio, and a buzzer or music alarm. It can be plugged into an outlet or powered by batteries.

My favorite feature, (that I can't live without), is that you can set it to turn itself off, after a desired amount of time. That means I can drift off to sleep, listening to my favorite music or late night talk show, without having to turn the radio off. It also has a snooze button, and a digital clock.

Since I've always been bothered by noises in hotels, whether from kids, teenagers, maids, drunks, or my next door neighbor's plumbing-I've found that getting a good night's sleep, away from home, can certainly be a challenge. That's when I plug in my Sony Dream Machine, and block out all the annoying distractions. After that--it's sweet dreams baby!

This sounds perfect for travel. While I hate waking up to beeping, if I just have music come on, sometimes it slides into my dreams, and I don't wake up! I'll look out for this!

This sounds like something I need. I always need something to drown out the outside racket when I 'm away from home also. I'll be looking for this at Wal-Mart.

I have to have some sort of white noise to fall asleep most night (to drown out my noisy upstairs neighor). Radio would probably not work for me, but sounds like it does wonders for you!

Nice sweet dream machine...good to bring one when travelling but these days we depend more on mobile phones alarm than alarm clock.
