Sweets Can Cure What Ails You ; By RachelReviews on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I had the pleasure of trying this for the first time two evenings ago. Over the last three days, I have been feeling really crummy, a sore throat, runny nose, aches and pains, all that! When I feel this way, I grab whatever's handy to make me feel better. Sometimes I will use medicine, but other times, call for chocolate.

Someone brought home 2 squares of Ritter. 1 for them, 1 for me. I've never tried praline before, so I was excited to try this. It sounded fancy. I found that it had a very subtle taste in the bar. I found the chocolate very sweet and mellow. It seemed like an excellent quality milk chocolate. I felt that it lacked complexity, though. The bar wasn't the hardest chocolate I've eaten. It was kind of soft. I liked it, but I do enjoy when chocolate bars are really fresh and break off crisply when you bite into it. When I bit into this, my teeth sank into it. It wasn't bad, but I prefer a different sensation.

I recommend this German-made chocolate. It's yummy and sweet. I enjoyed it, and it cheered me up in my time of need. There are no nut bits in here. It has an overalll praline flavor though.
