Sweet's Orange Sticks By Jessica Yamaguchi on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
These are my husband's FAVORITE candies. His Grandma used to keep a stash and share them with him when he was a little boy.
Sweet's Orange sticks are soft Orange Jelly centers dipped in Real Milk Chocolate. They are naturally flavored and come in a stick form. They are most commonly found in a 10.5 ounce box.
INGREDIENTS:
Milk Chocolate, Corn syrup, Sugar, Pectin, Malic Acid, Natural Flavors, Sodium Citrate, Yellow #6, Red #3.
Serving Size is 5 pieces and there are approximately 7 servings per box.
As I have said my hubby loves these. I am not so fond of them. I just don't like fruity chocolate …and jelly…especially orange jelly is not my thing!
However I will say this centers of these candies are wonderfully soft and the orange flavoring is just the right strength and actually a little on the light side. The milk chocolate is smooth and creamy and the two flavors balance and combine perfectly.
If you have ever gotten candy from a candy specialty shop and noted the freshness …these are very similar in quality /freshness. Even though these are not my favorite if you like a chocolate and orange combination these are very good and I would recommend them.
I found these at Wal-Mart; I paid about $2.89 for the 10.5 oz box. I am not sure how easy these are to find because until recently we hadn't seen them in a store near us. I was ordering them for my hubby off of Sweet Candies website.
The Sweet Candy Company is located in Salt Lake City Utah. They have a website (I will include this at the bottom of my review) and they make a few other flavors of these jelly stick type of candy…Cherry, Raspberry, and they are all available in a Dark Chocolate coating as well as Milk Chocolate. You CAN order by the case if you wish and they make a variety of other types of candy as well.
