I have pets (a lot of pets) and kids. Sweeping and using the basic swiffer was taking up a LARGE portion of my time since both had to be repeated several times a day. I invested in the Swiffer Sweeper Vac and i am IN LOVE. The ads show this item being used like the basic swiffer, and then turn on the vac for "big stuff" but i run the vac the entire time i am running it around the floor (to get up as MUCH pet hair as possible). It is lightweight, easy to assemble, use, and maintain. It does a GREAT job getting up everything off the floor.

The only con i can think of is that it needs to stay plugged into an outlet to remain charged for next use. I store mine in the half bath downstairs so that it is mostly out of the way but still has access to an outlet.
