Swingline Paper Punch By Jan Mayrhofer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

What a handy gadget my office three-hole paper punch is! I have a little printer in my office that I call "the Dinosaur". It is a continuous feed, very old Lexmark printer that prints on paper that has no ledger holes in it. That would be okay, except that a lot of these reports have to be kept in notebooks for easy access in case of a corporate cash office audit. So that is where my handy dandy three hole punch comes in. It is such a simple design for such a great time saver.

I simply slide my stack of papers into the slot and against the guide, and press down. Nifty! The edge of the hole punch has a ruler in case I need it. The hole punch also catches the holes in a removable compartment. If you save it long enough, then you will have confetti you can throw at your boss on his birthday!

I know a three hole paper punch seems like such a simple thing, but I sure wish I had invented it because it is one of those tools you can probably find in every office.
