Switchfoot Oh! Gravity By tribefan on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Switchfoot has come out with some very good songs in the past. I was expecting a lot from this album, but was a little disappointed. The CD starts out strong with the title track, "Oh! Gravity," an energetic rock song. My favorite song is "Awakening," and other standout tracks include "Faust, Midas, And Myself," and "Dirty Second Hands." The theme of materialism runs rampant throughout the CD, almost to the point that it gets annoying, and weighs the album down. And the second song, "Amateur Lovers," is very forgettable.

Oh! Gravity is good for a few listens, but just seems to get stale after a while. Still, if you're a Switchfoot fan, you'll probably love this album.
