Swivel Sweeper Fizzled
By Sparkle333 onAfter watching numerous ads on TV for the Swivel Sweeper, when I saw it at Bed Bath And Beyond one evening, I decided to purchase it. I wasn't looking for it to take the place of my heavy duty vacuum. I just wanted something that would allow me to easily clean the kitchen rug after cooking, or that would fit in hard to reach areas that my big vacuum could not go. The fact that it would rotate 360 degrees was impressive, and meant that it could reach under low tables, and under beds.
It could be used on carpeted areas or on floors, and it was very lightweight--weighing in at only 2 pounds. It came with a battery charger, and a rechargeable battery, and was advertised to run for approximately 45 minutes on a single charge.
Well, I wonder sometimes, how they make things look so good on TV, but when you get them home, they disappoint. The power of the sweeper was never strong enough to suit me, and the charge didn't last for very long at all. The battery was constantly running down, far too soon. I did use it quite a bit, even though I was aggravated by the lack of power. I really enjoyed using it on my steps, because of the cordless feature. But in the end, I favored another small vacuum that had better suction, even though it needed to be plugged in.
All in all, I would not suggest that you purchase this product, as it doesn't work as well as advertised, and there are much better smaller sweepers available.

I bought one too. It wasn't worth the money.
Ours works pretty good on the dog hair.:)
Jessie: I LOVED the concept, and the fact that it would go under furniture, etc., but mine would not hold a charge for anything. So I don't know. Glad you like yours though.
Darn, I kind of wanted one. Hopefully something new will come out.
I've wondered about this and almost picked it up on several occasions. Its unfortunate that the ads are often so misleading.
