These were purchased by the program I work for a couple of years ago. We bought two of them. These were very inexpensive and I really wondered at the time just how good they would be or how long they would last. The sound quality and picture quality are both fine. I see no problem with either of those. I was actually surprised at just how nice the picture quality was considering the price paid which was well under 100.00 However one of them is already malfunctioning and eating dvd's alive. Things like this quite often are a problem with the really cheap and inexpensive units. The appearance of these is pretty good. They are nice looking units. I have to say however that it probably would have been better to spend a few more dollars and get a better quality model. So I have to give this Sylvania DVD /VCR a big thumbs down. No recommendation on this one. Just a warning to stay away!
