Sympathy for Lady Vengence - Special Edition

I'm not sure why, but some of my favorite movies come from Korea. This is no exception. An excellent follow-up to director, Chan-wook Park's epic Old Boy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance takes audience's down the path of revenge one last time -- with surprising consequences.

This was a first purchase from the eBay store, and I wasn't disappointed. It arrived quickly, and shipping costs were not outrageous like some others. It was brand new, in shrink wrap, and is the special edition with extra features. Because it wasn't much more than other versions, I will say it is well worth the expense. Park is one director people want to know more about, focusing on stories and characters so craftily twisted they share so much of themselves with ordinary people.

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, like Old Boy, forces us to look at our real choices and see how the wrong circumstances have the power to make - and break - us. I'd recommend this movie for anyone with an interest in independent, foreign or Korean films.
