Taboo...Looking For A Good Family Game? By luvettes91 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My cousin had invited me to a weekend vaca to Windsor through their timeshare, her parents were going with their friends and their kids were going along and I decided a weekend away would be good for me. There aren't many things to do in Windsor unless you are of drinking age which we weren't. Luckily, the other family had brought over some board games and we chose to play Taboo, I never having played it before thought it would be similar to Pictionary. While some similarities Taboo was in my opinion WAY FUNNER. We had teamed up boys vs. girls and man was it fun. The words were simple enough to understand (good for younger ones) yet they brought some challenge. The game is played with a card which has a word you must try to get your teammates to guess and below is a list of other words/clues you cannot say. We played around 2-3 games that day and yes it was pretty fun. I recommend this game for those older than 12 as there was a card we came across with adult content. When I came home I immediately asked if we could buy this game in the future. The only con of this game was that it had some older topics younger kids and maybe even adults wouldn't know too well which forced both teams to pass a couple times.
