Tagaytay City By Crissy Taruc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you happened to be here in the Philippines on summer season, Tagaytay City is one of the best destinations to stay in. The city is clean, peaceful and very relaxing. You can find here the smallest volcano in the world and that is the Taal Volcano. Locals offer small boat to local and foreign tourists who want to get a closure look of it (be sure first to check on our PHILVOCS if it is not active) and there are small cottages within the vicinity to have a little chat and snack near the volcano. Adjacent to the volcano is the famous Picnic Grove where families and friends can lay down their bodies in the green field while kids enjoy running back and forth. It also offers a space for horse back riders and there's a souvenir store and playground located nearby.Tagaytay City houses large plantation of pineapple and several other fruits that will truly be enjoyed especially by foreign tourists. There are also churches and convents that are favorite places for retreats and recollections. The city has vast selection of restaurants and food chains to cater your craving stomach with great Filipino dishes. Tagaytay also have the Fantasy World perfect for the family with several rides adjacent to it.
