Tai Chi for beginners
By Dom Sim onAfter hearing so much about the benefits of Tai Chi, I decided to take up Tai Chi. But before I face my real master I wanted to do some serious practice with workout videos so that I can follow the real workout faster too. Hence I buy this workout video from Amazon.com.
Pros: The movements are definitely for beginners and does not require much flexibility which is very suitable for beginners like me. The video taken on a Hawaiian beach, are very clear and shows superb images. It shows different basic positions in Tai Chi like 'horse ride', 'holding up heaven like a pillar' and 'seven pieces of brocade'. I simply love the background music which coordinates and blends in very well with all the movements. I like the instructor"s voice too, which is as soothing and meditative as Tai Chi itself is. His instructions on techniques of breathing, positioning our body and the most difficult part - mental visualisation, are very clear , easy to understand and to follow.
Cons: None that I can think of'
Additional thoughts: The workout which lasts for only 20 minutes is great for old and the young. It is indeed short, sweet, giving inspirations and inducing perspirations.

Sounds like just the video I want...I'll have to do a google search on this one...thanks:0)
I should practice this. I know how to meditate, and at my age, I need to learn more exercise. Balance is a problem for me now days, so maybe this could help me. I will look into this more.:)
I really enjoy Tai Chi. I find it very relaxing and stress relieving. I like the sound of this very basic video, and will look for it.
Not bad but lately I've been using YouTube for free training tutorials on all kinds of things - math, karate, exercise, yoga, tai chi, cooking, cleaning.. but at least the price sounds reasonable!
